POEM ‘SINGAPORE: BUGIS STREET’ ON VIDEO |

By the end of November 2013, Bongers Productions released the video
‘Singapore: Bugis Street’, named after a poem by Albert Hagenaars. The
music was written by American composer Dirk Stromberg, who invited
Douglas Cohen to read the text. The poem was published in the book
‘Tropendrift / Tropical Drift’, In de Knipscheer, Haarlem (2003). The
music also appeared before, on the cd ‘Tropendrift’ (2005).
John Irons signed for the English translation, Landung Simatupang made
the Indonesian version.
‘Singapore: Bugis Street’ is the 7th video with work by Albert
Hagenaars.
