In the late
seventies Albert Hagenaars, gallery owner in those days, and Jan
Fabre, probably the youngest performance artist in Belgium, worked
together at a few occasions.
In 2014 Fabre published ‘Stigmata
– Actions & Performances 1976-2013.’ The second of these selected
works concerns a joint venture by Albert Hagenaars and Jan Fabre,
called ‘Red Lines Performance. Place of action was Fabre’s home town
Antwerp.

Red Lines Performances was initiated by Albert
Hagenaars. He realized a dozen of performances in cities such as
Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Paris. The last
one took place in New York in 1982. He has been a poet and writer
since then.
